Today is Veteran’s Day and we celebrate all military veterans who have served our country, thanking them for their contributions in making the U.S. “the land of the free, and the home of the brave.” At CruiseOne, we thank military veterans every day by supporting them as they re-enter the civilian workforce with our military veteran recruitment program, offering incentives and more. In fact, more than 15 percent of the franchise owners at CruiseOne are military veterans.
Did you know that more than one million military veterans will be transitioning out of the military by 2015? That is a lot of people who will need jobs and who have an incredible skill set including strong leadership, ability to work under pressure and trainability, to name a few. Providing job opportunities, such as a franchise, gives them the opportunity to flourish and help stimulate the U.S. economy while providing stability to their families.
One way we at CruiseOne demonstrate our support of military veterans is with our “Operation Veterepreneur: Become Your Own General” contest, which we recently concluded. Incidentally, today we are awarding five military veterans franchise opportunities with CruiseOne through this contest. We celebrated with cake and a special ceremony featuring city and state officials, as well as advocates for veterans and small business owners.
If you are a military veteran with a passion for travel and entrepreneurism, I encourage you to check out CruiseOne. We are a member of VetFran and have been ranked as a military-friendly franchise by many leading publications such as Forbes, Franchise Business Review, G.I. Jobs, 1851 and Opportunity World.
As the clock strikes 11 a.m. on this 11th day of the 11th month and official celebrations commence nationwide, I encourage you to think about military veterans you know and thank them for serving our great country.
