Industry Outlook and Business Building Skills are Key General Session Messages

ron scavronFort Lauderdale, Fla. (November 19, 2015) – The 2015 CruiseOne National Conference aboard Norwegian Escape is more than halfway over and it is living up to its theme of CONNECT. From the informative general sessions and intimate workshops to the nightly networking socials, attendees are building professional relationships and gaining a deeper understanding of the industry which will ultimately help them achieve their business goals.

The headlining speaker at the morning general session was President and Chief Operating Officer for Norwegian Cruise Line Andy Stuart, who discussed the evolution of the cruise industry and Norwegian Cruise Line. He set the tone for presentations by Brad Tolkin, co-chairman and CEO of World Travel Holdings, and David Crooks, senior vice president of product and operations of World Travel Holdings. Tolkin looked at the larger picture of the travel industry and where CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. fits in, examining where the home-based brands are today and what their futures look like, while Crooks discussed the popular topic of attracting first-time cruisers.

“A warm connection makes a lasting connection” was the theme of Vice President of Marketing Rosemarie Reed’s presentation, where she spoke about the importance of creating a personal brand by building meaningful relationships. Director of Training & Support Services Dustin Jones stressed the importance of engagement and education and announced the 2016 regional training dates, as well as provided a recap of the success of agent incentives rewarded as a result of reaching certain sales thresholds in 2015. Director of Business Development Kim Faiello introduced the regional Business Development Managers and provided an overview of how they assist agents and franchisees with their community engagement.

“Our award-winning National Conference is a weeklong celebration of the travel industry,” said Drew Daly, general manager of network engagement and performance for CruiseOne. “Not only do we look to the future of how we can grow and improve our businesses, but we celebrate our past accomplishments as well.”

The previous evening featured a formal and entertaining ceremony of agents’ accomplishments throughout the year with a multimedia awards presentation. More than 100 agents were recognized for their achievements in sales, marketing, public relations, social media, IT and more, with a record number of agents being inducted into the 2015 Circle of Excellence, the highest achievement for CruiseOne.  Scavron, Shatz & Associates of Pompano Beach, Fla. was recognized as CruiseOne Franchise of the Year.
