Franchisees Inspired to Make a Change at 2016 National Conference Aboard Carnival Vista

mel-robbins-credit-www-thelxa-comFort Lauderdale, Fla. (December 5, 2016) – Owning a home-based travel business is a life-changing experience — for the travel professionals who are pursuing entrepreneurial passions and for their customers who are exploring new destinations and creating lifelong memories as a direct result of their business. At today’s General Session, attendees learned about updates from Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean, as well as a special story from AmaWaterways Co-Owners Rudi Schreiner and Kristin Karst.

The keynote address was given by motivational speaker and CNN commentator Mel Robbins, who is an expert on leadership and defeating doubt. Her high-energy presentation used memorable anecdotes, invigorating music, stunning photography and more to inspire attendees and teach them how to take their business to new heights. She challenged their everyday mental models and provided actionable items to implement that will positively impact the way they do business.

The morning session concluded with a passionate presentation from Make-A-Wish®, the signature charity of Cruises Inc., CruiseOne, Dream Vacations and parent company World Travel Holdings. Fundraising for Make-A-Wish is always a major component of the week and Erika Conrad, corporate relations manager at Make-A-Wish America, shared the impact of a wish experience and highlighted the different fundraising opportunities taking place throughout the week. She also shared the story of Deanna, a South Florida toddler whose wish to go to Disney World was granted by World Travel Holdings and celebrated with a send-off party earlier this year.
